This orientation session will introduce participants to sewing machine operation and use in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the sewing machine.
- This is not a sewing instruction class. Participants will learn machine operation only.

Learn how to create text-based documents using Microsoft Word, as well as how to complete simple actions like saving, opening, and printing documents in this class.

Each month, library staff with expertise in history will give a talk about different topics in American history to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. This month, we will learn about what life was like in colonial America. We will focus on the life of Martha Ballard, a midwife and community leader who chronicled her life in colonial America in her diary. Register online @ hcpl.net.
Get Creative with Cricut! This orientation session will introduce participants to Cricut machine capabilities, operation, and use. Completion of this orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Cricut at Harris County Public Library.
Join us for the Monthly Make and Mingle- A hands-on program where creativity meets technology! Each month, adults and teens are invited to explore a new craft or DIY project using in-house maker techniques—alongside traditional crafting supplies.
The craft for April will be Fanciful Garden Wood Block Art. Try your hand at a mixed-media masterpiece for Spring using wood blocks, paint, adhesives, stickers, and more!
Looking for a job but don’t know where to start? Many job opportunities are available on the internet. This class is designed to introduce participants to different job search websites such as Indeed and LinkedIn. Participants will also learn useful tips for standing out in today’s digital job market. Please note that this is not a resume-writing class.
