Schedule a 45-minute one-on-one appointment with a staff member for help with laptops, smartphones, tablets, and more.

Registration is required and opens one week before each appointment.To help serve more people, registration is limited to one appointment per week per person.After registering, email ata@hcpl.net with your specific technology question or issue so staff can prepare helpful resources.Appointments will be canceled if no one arrives within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time.

Calling all knitting, crocheting, embroidery and other needlecraft enthusiasts! Work on your projects in a welcoming environment as you mix and mingle with fellow enthusiasts in the area.

All experience levels are welcome! Please note this is not a class and there is no formal instruction presented on any type of needlework or fiber arts.

Insomnia is a common condition that makes it difficult for people to fall asleep or stay asleep. Poor quality sleep often leads people to feel tired, upset, and experience difficulty concentrating. During this session, we will learn about the different types of and causes of insomnia and simple practices that can increase the likelihood of greater quality sleep.

This course is designed to provide an introduction to computer technology for beginners. In six modules, we will cover the essential concepts of hardware, software, operating systems, and the practical computer skills needed for everyday tasks. Upon completion, students will have a solid understanding of how computers work and how to use them confidently.

HCPL has partnered with Oldways to present classes on how to eat healthy by following a traditional Latin American diet!

This program will feature two dishes rich in herbs, spices, and tubers. Those dishes are:

  • Wild Veggie Tostadas
  • Panama Fruit Smoothie

Library staff will give a presentation on the dishes and prepare them for everyone to share! 

This event will be held in the 1st floor Meeting Room.
