Did you know that if you use G-mail, you already have dozens of free apps similar to Microsoft Office?
Google's apps include a powerful word processor, spreadsheet, slides, calendar, photos, translator and lots more. Come to this class for an overview of many of these apps.
Participants must bring their personal cell phone to class in order to participate. Your personal USB (thumb) drive is also recommended.
Registration is required.

There will be a brief lesson for beginners at the beginning of the session. Each class go over the following:
How each chess pieces moveChess rulesReview how to use a chess clockHow to use notationHow to set up the chess boardDiscuss special movesDescribe check and checkmateReview chess principalsCover minor tacticsDiscuss end game principalsThen members will get a chance to play each other**Ages 9-17 ONLY & FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE**
Using paint, paper towels, glue, and a canvas, create textured art.

Our friends with Mad About Hoops are coming to show off their crazy skills with the circle, also known as the hula-hoop. They'll wow and dazzle you with their acrobatic skills and quick hula-hoop tricks.
This event will be hosted by our generous neighbors at the George H. W. Bush Community Center, Room 226. There is no age restriction, so bring the whole family. This event is free with no ticket required.
Please join us for our regular afternoon book club meetings.

Bring your guitars and keyboards (amps if needed). Bring your own cables and an electrical extension cable as we may have to use a few outlets.
Note: Small amps only. Percussion people may bring tom-toms, small drums, shakers, etc. NO FULL DRUM KITS. Singers can bring a mic, and mic wire. (NOTE Do not bring XLR cord unless you have adapter to 1/4" to plug into amp) Bring your own music stands if you need them.
NOTHING EXTREMELY LOUD AS IT IS STILL A LIBRARY!
