Switch 2 Play is a weekly Thursday event at 4:00 PM in the library, where people of all ages can relax and connect through popular games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart World, Just Dance, Street Fighter VI, and more! All necessary equipment—including the console, controllers, and seating—is provided for a fun and easygoing gaming experience, though feel free to bring your own controllers if you prefer!
Whether you're here to unwind, improve your skills, or make friends, Switch 2 Play offers a welcoming space to play and have fun.

Need a quiet place to read or get through your homework? Drop into Focus Mode at the library, an after-school sanctuary with calm vibes, cozy seating, and relaxing lo-fi beats.

Calling all homeschooled kids! Through hands-on activities, experiments, and interactive lessons, children will discover, learn, and explore.

Join us for age appropriate stories, songs and crafts to engage toddlers and their parents. Have fun while promoting pre literacy skills! For toddlers 18 months through 3 years old.

Join us for a special National Recycling Day celebration focused on protecting our planet and giving back to our community. This free, family-friendly event is a partnership between Harris County Office of Sustainability, HCPL, Moonshot, ERI, Sony, and Houston Zoo.
