Join us for our Tween Book Club! We will discuss the book of the month, have snacks, and enjoy book related activities. This month we will be reading "Kwame Crashes the Underworld" by Craig Kofi Farmer.

On Friday, February 13th, we will discuss chapters 1-10.

On Friday, February 27th, we will discuss chapter 11 through the end of the book.

This book club is intended for children ages 8-12. Online registration is required; space is limited.

Need help filing your taxes? AARP has trained volunteers at the Kingwood Branch Library to help you file them for free!

The service is first come, first serve. No registration or appointments required. Please be sure to bring the following items with you: driver’s license, Social Security Card, and any relevant tax information for everyone included on the tax return.

Did you know that most IRS forms are available for free to print? Visit www.irs.gov.

Looking to experiment with new recipes? Join us for Cook by the Book, our monthly cooking demo class for adults.

No registration required, but make sure to come hungry as we'll be tasting the dish during the class.

Join us for a free, 12-week class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. An English assessment must be taken for class admittance. Taking this class does not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.

Spring into a new hobby! In this program you will learn about a new hobby every week such as gardening or jewelry making, and get a chance to try out! The goal of this program is to spark a child's interest in learning a new hobby. This program is for children in Kindergarten- 5th grade.
Space is limited; Please pick up your free tickets at the Children's Reference Desk every Monday at 4:00 PM

In this program, teens are invited to get creative and make "quilt squares" out of paper and other media while learning about the myth of the Underground Railroad Quilt Codes and the impact that myth has left. Squares will be "stitched" together and displayed in the library afterwards! All materials and snacks will be provided.

This program is for teens ages 13-18.

Calling all teen artists! Whatever your medium is, you're invited to hang with other artists and work on your projects. Sketch pads, art pencils, markers, paints, yarn, crochet hooks, and more will be available for those who just want to show up and create. Snacks will also be provided.
