Kids and tweens ages 8 - 13 can register online for the 1:45pm to 2:15pm sessions. Please wear clothing appropriate for athletic activities.

Imagination and problem-solving with Legos! In “The Building Blocks of STEM” teens will use Lego bricks to complete interactive challenges. Participants will have fun while developing creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Presented by Young Audiences & iAct Houston.
Open to ages 11-18 only.
Tickets will be required and available for free at the front desk 15 minutes before event start time.
There will be a brief lesson for beginners at the beginning of the session. Each class go over the following:

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services within the Harris County Public Library system. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the 3D printer.
This class is appropriate for ages 10 and up. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
We will meet in the Innovation Lab on the 2nd Floor.

Are you interested in starting a business and being your own boss?
During this class, we will go over business planning, goal setting, creating mission statements, and the basics of understanding branding. This section comes with role playing, real world examples and other activities to reinforce fundamental principles of business.

Do you like snakes and lizards? Come meet some live reptiles up close and learn about their unique features. You will even have a chance to touch them if you want to!
