Community Health & Wellness Services provided by Harris County Public Health at the Fairbanks Branch Library. Come visit the Mobile Dental Clinic for:
First visits include a dental screening.
Follow-up visits may include a dental cleaning or basic treatment.
Adults and Children are welcome
Walk-ins are Welcome
This service is available from 8 am -3 pm each Monday with a lunch from 12-1.

The Friends of the Northwest Branch Library are holding their semi-annual book sale! A whole room of books for all ages, movies, music, and more! Most everything will be $1-$2 and 100% of the money earned at the sale go right back to the Northwest library to help fund our programs. So go crazy, give in to your inner book goblin! After all, it's not an addiction! It's giving back to your community!
Join us on Tuesday, October 20th at 4:30 PM to learn to doodle dinosaurs! This program is for tweens ages 8-12. Siblings welcome!
In this class, Dalton will share his personal process for drawing Pokémon in your own style — encouraging creativity, and having fun with shape language to discover their own unique way of drawing them.
Dalton is a Texas-based artist who loves drawing dinosaurs, monsters, and Pokémon! His creature-focused artwork is inspired by a lifelong passion for paleontology, an appreciation for biodiversity, and a deep devotion to drawing.
Use your creativity & engineering skills to make an edible fall-themed house! We'll have some cute fall decorations and some spooky ones. We'll use graham crackers, candy, and frosting. This program is on Tuesday, October 5th at 2:00 PM for homeschoolers ages 6-18. Registration is required. Registration will open September 21st.
A waiver will be sent after you register. You will need to fill out a waiver for each child who plans to attend. Please send us an email to sm@hcpl.net to let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions.

Join us at the Barbara Bush Branch for Ms. Janet's jaw-dropping program exploring facts, legends and myths from around the world, and attempt record-breaking challenges!
This program dives into to the unbelievable to investigate strange history, bizarre animal facts, fascinating mysteries, and mind-blowing world records. It’s packed with interactive challenges, sparking curiosity, that will inspire tweens to think outside the box. With each visit, they'll be introduced to things that seem near impossible, all while having fun and learning something new!
Let's make slime that attracts magnets on Tuesday, October 6th at 4:30pm! This is a messy craft, so wear clothes that are okay to get dirty. We'll provide all supplies including aprons, masks, and gloves. For ages 8-18. Registration required. Registration will open on Tuesday, September 22nd.
Trunk or Treat is back! Join us for lots of treats and a few tricks. Bob Jr. may even put in an appearance.
