Toddlers

Tales for Tots is a hands-on early literacy program for toddlers aged 24 months to 3 years, focusing on parent-child interactions. Each week is packed with fun as we sing, talk, read, and play, our way through exciting stories, catchy songs, wiggle-worthy movement, creative crafts, and more. A fun and engaging way to develop early literacy skills while making new friends!

Wiggle, giggle, and read together!
Join other toddlers and their parents or caregivers for weekly Toddler Time Storytime every Thursday at 10:15 a.m. or 11:15 a.m. Each session features age-appropriate stories, songs, and fingerplays designed to encourage early literacy, movement, and fun interaction.

This program is specially geared for toddlers ages 18–35 months and their caregivers. No ticket required—just drop in and join the fun!

Join us for singing, dancing, moving, and listening to fun stories! Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and kids are all welcome.

Join us for Preschool Story Time each Tuesday at 11:30 am where we will listen to stories, sing and dance, and do an occasional craft to explore creativity and also help build fine motor skills each week! Our program will be held in the children’s area of the Fairbanks Branch Library. This program is for children ages 3-6. Siblings are always welcome!

Join us on Tuesdays at 10:30 am for Baby Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time program is designed for babies from birth to 18 months old. We share books, songs, rhymes, music, bubbles, and toys! We also learn some early literacy tips and activities. It’s a great way to meet other caregivers and to give your baby a chance to socialize.

Siblings are always welcome.

This program is held in our library meeting room.

No registration or tickets required.

Learn about the origin of mariachi, the "King of Mariachi" Vicente Fernández, and what makes mariachi unique as a style of music. You will also get to learn standard musical terms and their definitions like melody, bass, and tempo. Enjoy an interactive experience with games and live examples utilizing mariachi music.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a newfound knowledge on the history of mariachi, an important mariachi figure, and music!
