In preparation for the upcoming Hunger Games prequel, teens in grades 6-12 can watch the first installment, The Hunger Games.

Enjoy the film with popcorn and designing an outfit that would be fitting for the Capitol!

The Hunger Games (PG-13) is a film adaption of the book by Suzanne Collins. It follows Katniss Everdeen voluntarily taking her younger sister's place in the Hunger Games, a televised competition in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to fight to the death.

Make your own buttons at our infamous Teen Button Bash! Teens will be able to choose from a variety of fun pre-made designs, make their buttons, and take them home. All supplies will be provided.

Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that brings child and teens together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grades (Little Buddies).

Each Wednesday for 10 weeks, Big Buddies and Little Buddies will meet to read together and create positive experiences surrounding literacy. By the end of the session, we aspire that all Little Buddies will learn to love to read and form positive associations with reading.

We'll be hosting a Teen Thrift Event on November 12th at 4:30pm. Ages 12-17 can browse and take home gently used clothes, all for FREE! 

Don't forget to bring your own bag or get one from us to fill up. This is a sustainability initiative was made possible with donations from the community. Our goal is to help those in need, give students more clothes for school, and protect the environment.

The Zone program space will open for lo-fi hang out, study, and board games for a couple hours after school. Music and snacks may be provided.

Sign up for this exciting program hosted by the Environmental Community Advocates of Galena Park. From November 16th to 20th, students can join air monitoring experts to become clean air advocates.
