Bring your broken items to our Repair Café, where various volunteer repair coaches are on hand to help repair your items free of charge. We have tools and commonly needed materials on hand during the event. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to fix everything, but we are pretty sure you will have a good time while you are here. Join our Teen "Bring Your Own Book" Book Club for a fun, relaxed way to share what you’re reading and discover new favorites from friends! This month’s optional theme is Hispanic Heritage Month—bring a book by a Hispanic author or featuring Hispanic culture and let’s celebrate diverse voices together. Snacks, great conversation, and a love of books guaranteed!

Otomi embroidery is the Mexican embroidery style known as "Tenangos", using vibrant colors, and unique floral and animal designs. Each Otomi piece is hand embroidered on Ivory muslin by Otomi artisans.
Otomi textiles represent a great Mexican tradition that has been passed from generation to generation. The Otomi designs are symbols based on native flora and fauna of the Otomi region. The animals and flowers in this Mexican embroidery represent the daily events of the Otomi culture in which we will appreciate animals such as deer, birds, rabbits, etc.
Do you want to speak and read Vietnamese? Do you need it for your job, to talk to family or traveling? Join Ms. Loc on Saturdays for Vietnamese Learning Time. We have classes for adults, teens and kids aged 8 years and older. (Registration required)
Level 1 for kids (8+): 10: 00am – 11:15am
Level 2 for adults & teens: 11:15 am – 12: 45pm
Join us at the Parker Williams Library Innovation Lab for our Cricut Orientation!
This orientation session will introduce participants to the Cricut & Sublimation services we offer at the library. Those who complete the orientation will then be able to request supervised time to use the Cricut and Sublimation services at any HCPL branch that has one.
Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut/Sublimation Printer in the future.
