Teen Book Club has transformed into Read It and Eat! It's a book club with a twist--during book club, you create something yummy based on this month's theme and then feast. This month, the theme Poetry and we will be making fancy foods!

Readers of manga, graphic novels, books, and audiobooks are welcome! Even if you haven't read anything new lately, you can still join us! This program is for readers ages 13-18.

Looking for homework help? Come on in to your local library to find the resources you need for success! Aldine Library will offer a quiet space for teens and kids on Thursdays @ 5:30 PM. Librarians will be on hand to provide assistance.

Harris County Public Library offers a variety of free resources, including computers, printers, and access to special research websites available with your library card.

Note: Librarians will not do the homework nor can we guarantee any grades; this program is here to offer assistance answering questions.

Community Health & Wellness Services provided by Harris County Public Health at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  Come visit the Mobile Dental Clinic for:
First visits include a dental screening.
Follow-up visits may include a dental cleaning or basic treatment.

Adults and Children are welcome

Walk-ins are Welcome

This service is available from 8 am -3 pm each Monday with a lunch from 12-1.

What is a Teen Advisory Board (TAB)? A group of teen volunteers who meet monthly with the Teen librarian to offer input on teen and tween library services and programs. Earn 30 minutes of volunteer time each month! Grades 6 to 12.

Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that brings child and teens together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grades (Little Buddies).

Each Wednesday for 10 weeks, Big Buddies and Little Buddies will meet to read together and create positive experiences surrounding literacy. By the end of the session, we aspire that all Little Buddies will learn to love to read and form positive associations with reading.

The Teen Advisory Board is hosting a - not so friendly- game of Mafia. This deduction game is basically a murder mystery in which players try to guess who is behind the killing spree of the local villagers. There will be a lot of finger-pointing and betrayal. Participants are more than welcome to bring a friend, as the more people the merrier! Registration can be done over the website or by calling our number: (832) 927-5530.

Hit reset at the library! Teens ages 11–17 can play popular video games, team up for multiplayer fun, and hang out in a relaxed library space. All skill levels welcome—just press start and play! 🎮🌸
