Teen Book Club has transformed into Read It and Eat! It's a book club with a twist--during book club, you create something yummy based on this month's theme and then feast. This month, the theme Poetry and we will be making fancy foods!
Readers of manga, graphic novels, books, and audiobooks are welcome! Even if you haven't read anything new lately, you can still join us! This program is for readers ages 13-18.
Looking for homework help? Come on in to your local library to find the resources you need for success! Aldine Library will offer a quiet space for teens and kids on Thursdays @ 5:30 PM. Librarians will be on hand to provide assistance.
Harris County Public Library offers a variety of free resources, including computers, printers, and access to special research websites available with your library card.

What is a Teen Advisory Board (TAB)? A group of teen volunteers who meet monthly with the Teen librarian to offer input on teen and tween library services and programs. Earn 30 minutes of volunteer time each month! Grades 6 to 12.
Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that brings child and teens together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grades (Little Buddies).
Each Wednesday for 10 weeks, Big Buddies and Little Buddies will meet to read together and create positive experiences surrounding literacy. By the end of the session, we aspire that all Little Buddies will learn to love to read and form positive associations with reading.
The Teen Advisory Board is hosting a - not so friendly- game of Mafia. This deduction game is basically a murder mystery in which players try to guess who is behind the killing spree of the local villagers. There will be a lot of finger-pointing and betrayal. Join us in the teen space to work on arts and crafts and explore your creativity, while you help us make the library a safe place for queer teens in our community! This program is open to ages 12-17, 18 if in high school.
