Calling all teen artists! Whatever your medium is, you're invited to hang with other artists and work on your projects. Sketch pads, art pencils, markers, paints, yarn, crochet hooks, and more will be available for those who just want to show up and create. No registration is required. Snacks will also be provided. 

This program is for teens ages 13-18.

As part of our Summer Reading Program and the Texas America 250 celebration, join us for a journey from the prehistoric past to our modern frontier! Randolph Watson, a volunteer wildlife rehabilitator and educator with the Houston SPCA Wild Center of Texas, will give a presentation titled "Peaceful Coexistence with Native Texas Wildlife".

Join us for an engineering challenge at Jacinto City Library! This month's challenge is ... cardboard boats!
Create a boat out of craft materials then put it to the test! Let's see who can hold the most weight! The top 3 boats will get a prize!

Get Creative with Cricut! This orientation session will introduce participants to Cricut machine capabilities, operation, and use. Completion of this orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Cricut at Harris County Public Library.

  • This class is appropriate for ages 8 and up.
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult during orientation and appointments.

We will meet in the Meeting Room on the 1st Floor.
