Are you ready to learn English? Are you looking for a way to improve your English conversation skills?
Classes are free and all materials are provided. Pre-registration is required before anyone can attend. To register for class, fill out the registration form, email or call the branch. Our Literacy Coordinator will help determine the right class for you and check to see if there are any open spaces available.

Step into history and explore the people, places, and events that shaped our country. The American Revolution Experience, a collaborative project of the American Battlefield Trust and the Daughters of the American Revolution is coming to Freeman Library!
The exhibition display panels and interactive kiosks use storytelling and illustration to connect visitors with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation. The exhibit will be on display at Freeman Library from April 27th through May 16th, 2026, during regular library business hours.
A weekly Computer Class for Adult Beginners to discover and improve their skills in this increasingly high-tech age. Every week we learn by doing Word, Excel, Email, PDF, Internet Safety, Google Searches, HCPL resources and more! Must have a library card to attend.

Whether you've never touched a tile in your life or you've played all kinds of versions, come play American Mah-jongg with us! There will be a table for complete beginners and there will be a table for open play. If you already have a set and you just want to play with people, there will be open tables to play on. All supplies and snacks will be provided. This program is intended for adults 18+.
