Seniors 55+ are invited to join the Maud Marks Library’s Timeless Travelers program for a trip to the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Through artifacts and interactive videos, this special museum experience encompasses much of U.S. history since 1941. See a World War II Avenger Torpedo Bomber, a 1947 Studebaker, a slab of the Berlin Wall, and replicas of President Bush's Camp David, Situation Room, and the Oval Office. The bus will be departing on Thursday, February 17, from 8:30 AM.
Senior Adults
Join us for a night of junk journaling where we'll use crafting supplies and personal memorabilia to create or work on your junk journal! We'll provide basic crafting supplies and scraps, but we encourage you to bring your own materials!
What is junk journaling? It's similar to scrapbooking but less polished and structured. Here, we'll use scraps and random tidbits of found materials to express ourselves and preserve memories. Think about receipts from purchases on a trip, ticket stubs from a movie, a torn piece from a brochure, etc.
Are you ready to get crafty? Join us at High Meadows to work on an available craft project or bring one of your own! This program is for adults (18+) only.
Ready to get creative? Join us for Make It Happen, a hands-on craft class where you’ll design your own custom portfolio using our Cricut! We'll kick things off with a quick Cricut Orientation and a Canva demo—no tech skills or devices needed. Just bring your imagination, and we’ll take care of the rest.
