In order to ensure the safety of our youngest patrons, this is a ticketed program. Free tickets available in the library on the morning of the program. First come, first served.

Designed especially for preschoolers, this interactive program introduces young children to American-themed classical music through singing, movement, and playful activities. Children will explore rhythm, creativity, and early learning skills while celebrating the rich musical heritage of the United States.

It’s the perfect way to introduce toddlers to the joy of books and reading while building important motor skills. Through music, movement, and play, we’ll help support your child’s growth in a joyful, engaging way—because play is essential to every part of toddler development!
Join us at the Katy Library for Flower Hour, a preschool story time, from 11:15 am-12 pm. This event will take place on the carpet in the children's section of the library. Come dance, sing, and grow while we read books together!

April Showers are bringing May Flowers and we need to make tiny umbrellas to protect our tiny loved ones!
Read, sing, and learn together!
Join us every Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. for this engaging storytime designed for children ages 3–5. Through stories, rhymes, songs, and playful activities, children will build important early literacy skills such as oral language, phonological awareness, and print recognition.
After storytime, children can enjoy a simple craft or coloring activity to wrap up the fun. It’s a wonderful way to support early learning while making Storytime magical at the library!
Questions about Child Development? Nutrition? Early Literacy? Movement? Join the Family Place Workshops every Wednesday at noon May 6 - June 3.
It is a special five-week program held for children birth to five years and their caregivers. The workshop consists of one-hour, child-led sessions in which families play with various passive toys and stations while local community experts offer resources and advice to caregivers.
We are also giving away FREE Children's Museum Passes to all attendees!

Join us for Preschool Story Time each Tuesday at 11:30 am where we will listen to stories, sing and dance, and do an occasional craft to explore creativity and also help build fine motor skills each week! Our program will be held in the children’s area of the Fairbanks Branch Library. This program is for children ages 3-6. Siblings are always welcome!
