Come and join us in person for 30 to 45 minutes of art exploration! Our "Pour Your Art Out" after school art time is free to attend and all materials will be provided. Art projects are age-appropriate for elementary school age children and their caregivers. We will announce art subjects at the start of each program.

Join us for our Tween Book Club! We will discuss the book of the month, have snacks, and enjoy book related activities. This month we will be reading "The Smartest Kid in the Universe" by Chris Grabenstein.

On Friday, September 11th, we will discuss chapters 1-36.

On Friday, September 25th, we will discuss the rest of the book.

This book club is intended for children ages 8-12. Online registration is required; space is limited.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by creating your own unique tin foil art, also known as Hojalata art. We will be using aluminum foil, pencils and permanent colored sharpies (so don't wear your favorite clothes!) 

Hojalata is a form of Mexican folk art that involves embossing and painting tin/aluminum to create vibrant designs. 

Join us in the Fairbanks Library meeting room for this fun and easy art project and create a masterpiece that you can keep!

This program is designed for children aged 6 to 11 years old but siblings of other ages are welcome too!

The Barbara Bush Branch Library is excited to host Challenge Island – Cypress!

This program bring hands-on STEAM fun to the community. Through creative, team-based challenges, children will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math in an engaging and interactive environment. Our programs encourage creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and imagination while making learning fun for all.

This is an elementary school aged program.

This Storytime focuses on the developmental needs for "Preschoolers," specifically children who are walkers AND talkers.

Join us for our first Creekside Kid's Book Club! We will be discussing what kind of books we would like to read, and what kind of club we would like to be. For this session we will be talking about some of our FAVORITE books. Any book you would like to talk about is okay! Come with suggestions and be ready to have fun! We will select our club name, our first official book, and practice making our own comic books! 

This program is for children ages 6-12. Registration is required and begins one week in advance. Only the child needs to register.
