Join us for Homework Help & Hangout every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 4:30 PM! Whether you're working through a difficult assignment, studying for a test, or just looking for a quiet place to focus, the library is here to help.
Each session includes:

Join us for an evening family story time. You may wear your pajamas and join us for some fun stories and action rhymes before bedtime! This program is recommended for children and their families.
Harris County Public Library's Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grade (Little Buddies) for 10 weeks to share the joy of reading. More information can be found on our website.
The next session for the South Houston Branch Library will run from September 8 - November 10, 2026. The Buddies will meet on Tuesdays from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM.
