Our Chapter Champions (teens) are ready to guide your Story Seekers (children; grades K-3rd) through the wonders of the written word in stories, information, and books.
The Literacy League is a literacy program to provide teen mentorship and guidance to K-3rd graders pursuant to establishing and promoting a culture of literacy and books at the library and beyond into their home Reading Refuge.
Kids
This beginner friendly lesson will introduce participants to cross-stitching, which is a form of counted-thread embroidery using X-shaped stitches to create a pattern.
This program is limited to attendees age 5 and up. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must be able to help their children with the project.This program involves sharp embroidery needles and embroidery scissors.Registration is required due to limited supplies and seating.Calling all homeschooled kids! Switch 2 Play is a weekly Thursday event at 4:00 PM in the library, where people of all ages can relax and connect through popular games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart World, Just Dance, Street Fighter VI, and more! All necessary equipment—including the console, controllers, and seating—is provided for a fun and easygoing gaming experience, though feel free to bring your own controllers if you prefer!
