The Next Chapter Feature Film Series returns for 2026 on Thursday, February 26 at 10:15 AM in the Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to showing Hidden Figures (2016), a biographical drama about three female African-American mathematicians providing crucial calculations for NASA's space race against the Soviets, all while dealing with the racist and sexist assumptions of their white co-workers. This film stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monáe, Kirsten Dunst, and Jim Parsons.
Join us to write along to some writing prompts, chat, make friends, and unwind! This program is for adults 18+. A journal will be provided if you don't already have one! No writing experience needed, just an open mind for adopting a new hobby :) We also sometimes collage and do other creative crafts!

Please join us in the Upstairs Conference Room on the second Monday of the month to read silently as a group without any discussion and enjoy light refreshments provided by the Friends of Freeman Library. The door opens at 6:00 PM.
