Family Place Workshop is an early literacy program that highlights learning through play. During this five-week workshop, parents/caregivers and their toddlers ages 1-3 years, will have the opportunity to participate in play-based learning. Each week of the workshop will also feature a resource professional to answer questions on topics including literacy, child development, nutrition, and speech and language development.

Do you consider yourself an expert on Taylor Swift? Do you know obscure trivia and feel confident you have what it takes?

Come to the library and solve an escape room about Taylor Swift, slightly spooky because it's our favorite time of the year: Halloween! Solve puzzles, decipher clues, and race against the ticking clock. 

All materials provided. This program is designed for grades 6th-12th only.

Meet other parents and form long-lasting connections and a sense of community.

Library programs are always free and made possible by our Friends of the Fairbanks Library. Teen programs are designed for middle schoolers and high schoolers.

Come Move and Groove with Us!

Join us for a fun-filled session of reading. singing, and playful movement!
It’s the perfect way to introduce toddlers to the joy of books and reading while building important motor skills. Through music, movement, and play, we’ll help support your child’s growth in a joyful, engaging way—because Children of all ages are welcome.

Book Buddies is a free program that brings children and teen volunteers together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in Kindergarten through 3rd grades (Little Buddies). For 10 weeks, the Buddies meet once a week in the afternoon for 45 minutes of one-on-one shared reading.

The Fall cycle of Book Buddies will run from September 17th to November 19th.  Reading sessions will be in the library meeting room.
