Dance to Learn from the Houston Ballet is coming to the Aldine Library. Discover how classical music and kids go hand in hand. Today's class will be a 45-minute sing, move, and play session. This class is perfect for children ages 2-5.

Beginning in February, AARP will be offering free tax assistance to elderly and low-income individuals. AARP assistance will be available on Mondays and Fridays, on February 2 through February 13, from 9:30 AM-1:30 PM. They will be back on Friday, March 3 through Monday, April 13, from 9:30 AM-1:30 PM.

You are encouraged to show up half an hour early to sign up for a spot.

Join us for our Cricut orientation!

This orientation session will instruct participants on using the Cricut in the library. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule time to use a Cricut at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut. Attendees will receive the Cricut and Cricut Explore Air 2 badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.

Why should you read a book? The reasons might surprise you...Come chat with other teens about how reading impacts you and what you love about it while enjoying free pizza!

Guest speaker, president of the Friends of High Meadows, and lifelong reader Judy Rodriguez will join us to provide insight on how books have changed her life. 

This event is open to teens ages 14 to 18. No registration is required, but space may be limited.
