Let’s get drawing with artist Bob Doll! Join us for a hands-on introduction to drawing where you will learn how to use shapes, shading, shadow, and more to bring your drawings to the next level. 

All materials provided. 

Open to ages 11-18 only. 

Tickets will be required and available for free at the front desk 15 minutes before event start time.

Bring your early readers down to read their favorite books to specially trained dogs here at the Fairbanks Library! We meet in the children's area.

Teens ages 13-18 can join us at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library once a month to earn an hour of volunteer credit by doing a project for a local community organization! In May, we will be assisting the library to prepare for the Summer Reading Program!

Tickets are required for all programs unless otherwise noted. They are free and available 15 minutes before the program begins in the Children's Department. Tickets are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Lines for tickets sometimes form before the tickets are distributed. Tickets can run out very quickly, so please plan accordingly.

Teen volunteers interested in the Northwest Branch Library must attend this orientation in order to begin volunteering. Volunteers must be age 14+ and must fill out a teen volunteer application. You can find these applications at the front desk of the library. Applications must be turned in by Thursday May 28th.

Watercolor for “Young at heART” adults meets every Tuesday morning to enjoy watercolor painting while commiserating with fellow artists! This friendly and social group is open to all adults and to all levels of art experience, including those who have never painted with watercolor at all. Sometimes the group works on individual projects and sometimes there is an art education period. Sometimes you will learn something new and sometimes you can teach something to others. Join in for a morning of beautiful art and fun conversation!
