Focus is on pronunciation, fluency, and confidence through shared reading in a supportive library setting.
For adults who can read in English and have some language experience; not for beginning learners.
The bird world is full of fascinating species! Participants will learn bird biology, act out common bird behaviors, and investigate how unique adaptations help birds thrive in their habitats. Touchable biofacts such as bones, talons, and feathers add new layers of fun as we learn about our feathered friends.

Wish You Were Here – Footprints Through Time
When you discover a mysterious suitcase filled with expedition tools, you’ll use your imagination and senses to search for dinosaur fossils! Journey through the jungle, dig for bones at an excavation site, rescue dinosaurs from tar pits, and collect dino eggs—just be careful of the earth-shaking volcano!

“Healthy Relationships” is a supportive and engaging talk for teens about building positive relationships with friends, family, and partners. Participants will learn about communication, respect, boundaries, and making healthy choices while gaining skills to build confidence and stronger connections with others.
This program is for ages 14-17.
Join us for an educational program that teaches children and families how to safely interact with animals, practice responsible pet care, and support animal welfare in the community. Hosted in partnership with the South Houston Animal Shelter, the program teaches safety and awareness through fun and informative activities.
This program is open to all ages.
