Discovery Time with Miss Christine is a fun and engaging story time for the whole family! Each week, we build early literacy skills through the five essential practices: sing, talk, read, write, and play. These simple, everyday activities support language development, spark creativity, and boost comprehension, while also laying a strong foundation for future STEAM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).
Join us for a free, 12-week class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. An English assessment must be taken for class admittance. Taking this class does not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.
Go Green Crafts meet once a month to repurpose different things to go green all year long!
Join us in the Baldwin Boettcher Library Conference Room to repurpose Keurig boxes into creative bookmarks. Registration is required but all supplies are provided. Ages 19 & up.

Bring your own favorite snacks 🍫🍪🥤 to enjoy while you watch and get ready for a fun-filled break with nonstop cartoon comedy. If you love animation and humor, this is the perfect event for you!
This is a free two day class. Inking is done with Acrylic liquid paint and applied with a pen. Roughing is an application of a small amount of oil paint blended lightly, so the ink lines show through. All materials will be provided. (Friday and Saturday from 1:00 pm -3:00 pm )
Learn how to book time with the Kingwood Library’s Glowforge Laser Cutter! This orientation session will introduce participants to laser cutting and engraving services in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a laser cutter at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a laser cutter.
