Join us for Beginner Spanish! This class will meet on Fridays from 4:30 - 5:30 PM. This class is free and is taught by our amazing volunteer tutor, Naheily.
Join us on Tuesdays at 10:30 am for Baby Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time program is designed for babies from birth to 18 months old. We share books, songs, rhymes, music, bubbles, and toys! We also learn some early literacy tips and activities. It’s a great way to meet other caregivers and to give your baby a chance to socialize.
Siblings are always welcome.
This program is held in our library meeting room.

Join us for Polliwog Club on the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am! A traveling naturalist from Precinct 1 will be here at the Fairbanks Branch Library to share a story and fascinating information with us about a particular group of animals such as mammals, reptiles, birds, etc. She will bring 3-4 live animals from the featured group that the children will be able to see up close, and they will also have an opportunity to gently touch the animals if they would like to. Touching the animals is always optional. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
At Fairbanks Library we're celebrating Hispanic Heritage month by learning how to make delicious, savory, Birria Tacos! Come join us as we learn about the origins of this unusual taco and jump in and make your own corn tortilla stuffed with tender, shredded beef and stuffed with Oaxaca cheese. We'll fry the tacos in a spicy consommé before topping them with cilantro and diced onion. You won't believe how good it is! To register, please call Fairbanks Library at 832-927-7890 to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited. This class is for adults 18+ only.

In partnership with Creative Mental Wellness, DAISY’s Deep Reads is an in-person book club where mental health meets the magic of books. Each month, we’ll explore a new book that dives into topics like mental wellness, behavioral health, trauma, resilience, or substance use.
This isn’t just about reading—it’s about reflecting, connecting, and healing within our community. Whether it’s a memoir, insightful guide, or narrative nonfiction, each selection is carefully chosen to spark thoughtful conversation and inspire personal growth.
Join us every other Tuesday at 4:45 to create and build with LEGOs!
We will have the option of LEGO challenges or free build during our building session. At the end of our session you can share and display your creations at the JC Library for the month.
