Come and join us in person for 30 to 45 minutes of gaming fun! Our "After School Boardom" is geared for elementary school age children and their caregivers. This game time includes classic board games, video games and other activities, and it is free to attend. You are always welcome to bring your own games to share in a friendly competition.

Bring your own project to our monthly teen fiber arts group! Come to chat and work on your current project, get ideas for new projects, and be inspired by your fellow fiber artists. Whether it’s crochet, knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, or anything in between, if you can bring it with you, you can work on it. This program is open to ages 12-17, 18 if in high school. Watercolor for “Young at heART” adults meets every Tuesday morning to enjoy watercolor painting while commiserating with fellow artists! This friendly and social group is open to all adults and to all levels of art experience, including those who have never painted with watercolor at all. Sometimes the group works on individual projects and sometimes there is an art education period. Sometimes you will learn something new and sometimes you can teach something to others. Join in for a morning of beautiful art and fun conversation!
Seniors 55+ are invited to join the Maud Marks Library’s Timeless Travelers program for a trip to visit the historic Crighton Theatre and enjoy the show The Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder. The bus will depart on Friday, September 12.

Join us for our 3D Printer Orientation!
This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer.
Book Buddies is a free program that brings children and and teen volunteers together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in Kindergarten through 3rd grades (Little Buddies). For 10 weeks, the Buddies meet once a week in the afternoon for 45 minutes of one-on-one shared reading. More information can be found on our website.
