Harris County Public Library's Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grade (Little Buddies) for 10 weeks to share the joy of reading. More information can be found on our website.

The next session for the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library will run from September 8th - November 17th, 2025. The Buddies will meet on Mondays from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a new recipe! Join Esteban as he takes you on an educational journey through Latin American heritage while preparing delicious food.

In this class, Esteban will teach you how to make the recipe Panama Smoothies from Oldways: Cultural Food Traditions using fresh mango and banana. 

Supplies are provided by the library. Registration is required as supplies are limited.

Get ready to sing, bounce, play and bond with baby during this interactive baby time. This program is perfect for non-walkers. Space is limited. Tickets available 15 minutes before the program at the information desk.

This workshop will cover "Know Your Rights" resources to create a rapid response plan, as well as provide a comprehensive list of trusted legal service providers and organizations within the community.
