Play and Learn with Me: Family Place Workshop is an early literacy program that highlights learning through play. During this five-week workshop, parents/caregivers and their toddlers ages 1-3 years, will have the opportunity to participate in play-based learning. Each week of the workshop will also feature a resource professional to answer questions on topics including literacy, child development, music and movement, nutrition, and speech and language development.

Join us for 30 minutes of story time for our youngest library users! Our “Little Readers” program is for children 0 to 5 years old and their caregivers. Little Readers features books, stories, songs, movements and group play time. Come and develop your child’s early literacy skills in this fun environment.

Join us to dive into DNA use and techniques for family history research. This fall, we will be studying and discussing Diahan Southard's, "Your DNA Guide: the book" and "Your DNA Guide: the workbook". (Not provided.)
The discussion portion of this program will be held in-person and virtually. After discussion time, in person participants will move to the library computers for hands-on work with matchlists.

Join us for a celebration of Texas Archaeology Month with clay pinch pot kits provided by the Texas Historical Commission! Learn about Texas archaeology while making your own pot inspired by Caddo pottery traditions. All skill levels welcome, and all supplies provided. Due to limited supplies, only one pot per person.

Teens are invited to enjoy some Mexican treats while learning a bit about the origins of each of them. This program is for teens ages 13-18.
Participants are encouraged to dress in costume!
This program is for those who want to know what the library is like after hours! Teens will be split into groups and will embark on a spooky journey throughout the library solving riddles and searching for clues. The group that has the guts to complete the hunt will be crowned the Ultimate Riddle Masters/Geniuses and given prizes! Snacks and creepy vibes will be provided.
