Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a Delicious Recipe!

HCPL is teaming up with Oldways Preservation and Exchange Trust to share how traditional Latin American foods can be part of a healthy diet. Join us for a fun and educational cooking class as we explore Latin American culture and sabores.

In this class, Esteban will show you how to make Mayan Pumpkin Dip, a flavorful dish made with pumpkin seeds, jalapeños, fire-roasted tomatoes, lime, garlic, and cilantro. It’s an excellent dip for tortilla chips.

Join us at the Crosby Library every 1st Friday @ 4pm for our Tween Book Club, Plot Twisters!. Each month, we’ll dive into cool new books and chat about it with friends. Grab a copy of the monthly selection at the front desk.

For ages 9-12, registration not required.

September 5th - Bookmarks & Bites: Join us for snacks, bookmark coloring, and a chance to share your favorite reads!

This is a free 10 week course to prepare students for the United States Citizenship exam. Individuals must register for the program in person, and commit to all 10 classes. Classes are in ENGLISH and study materials are provided by us. Following the 10 weeks, students will participate in an 1-1 Mock Interview with the instructor. 

Decompress from a long day at school every Tuesday by playing video games at the library! Challenge your friends to a competition or just come hang out!

No registration is required. This event is open to ages 13 to 18.

Join us every Tuesday at 10:30 am for stories, songs, fingerplays and crafts using best practices of the Every Child Ready to Read program. You and your children will have fun while honing skills necessary to be ready to read!

Are you new to using a computer or just want to brush up on the basics? Join us for a hands-on class designed to help you feel more confident and comfortable with computers to complete everyday tasks.

What you’ll learn in this class:

🔹Identifying computer hardware
🔹How to use the mouse and keyboard
🔹Learn how to access the internet

Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize. 

Siblings are always welcome. 

We meet in the children's area where the picture books and campfire rug are located. 

No registration or tickets required. 

Join us for 10 weeks of group reading to improve your English pronunciation. This is a non-leveled ESL class best suited for students with a stronger grasp of the English language as they will take turns reading aloud. 

Únase a nosotros durante 10 semanas de lectura grupal para mejorar su pronunciación en inglés. Esta es una clase de ESL no nivelada, más adecuada para estudiantes con un conocimiento más sólido del idioma inglés, ya que se turnarán para leer en voz alta.

You're invited to attend Story Time every Tuesday at 11 am. 

Story Time is a great way for children to build early literacy skills with stories, rhymes and songs. Parents are encouraged to participate by sitting with children and singing (and learning!) new songs. 

Last half hour is craft time! 

Children of all ages are welcome.
