Join us for 30 minutes of story time for our youngest library users! Our “Little Readers” program is for children 0 to 5 years old and their caregivers. Little Readers features books, stories, songs, movements and group play time. Come and develop your child’s early literacy skills in this fun environment.

Sorry we cannot accommodate Daycare groups for this program.

Dance to Learn is a movement integration program that approaches academic learning from a kinesthetic perspective. Houston Ballet teaching artists work to create lessons that address TEKS in multiple subject areas while building Social Emotional Skills. Shhhh! Don't tell your kids that they are learning! They will be having a blast pretending to dance like dinosaurs! Group size is limited to 25 participants, so be sure to sign up at the front desk.

Our Chapter Champions (teens) are ready to guide your Story Seekers (children; grades K-3rd) through the wonders of the written word in stories, information, and books.

The Literacy League is a literacy program to provide teen mentorship and guidance to K-3rd graders pursuant to establishing and promoting a culture of literacy and books at the library and beyond into their home Reading Refuge.
