Join with other preschoolers and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Preschool Story Time uses age appropriate stories, songs and finger plays, and a take-home craft to engage preschoolers and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards kids ages 3-5 years.

Tickets are required and will be handed out at the Children's Desk starting 30 minutes prior. Children must have a ticket to attend Preschool Story Time.

By joining Maud Marks’s team in the annual Tournament of Books competition, you have the chance to win a $100 grand prize! Open to highschoolers/homeschoolers across Harris County (age 14-18), Tournament of Books is a book club with a competitive twist. By working together with up to 4 friends, divide and conquer the reading list of 12 titles selected from the newest and brightest titles in Young Adult literature.

We will help give you the resources you need to expand your child’s skills, preparing them to read. Recommended for children ages 2-5 years, it features age appropriate stories, songs, and fingerplays. Story time is an excellent way to bond with your child, boost their vocabulary, and hopefully raise a lifelong reader. Studies have shown that regularly reading to your child can increase their attention span, boost their emotional intelligence, and flex their imagination.
