Being Creative and crafty can be very therapeutic, and with all the stress in the world these days, we can use all the crafting therapy we can get!

Spin-a-Yarn is a crafting group that meets every Wednesday at 11 am in the study room of the Baldwin Boettcher Library. If you like to craft or create in any way, come join us with your own creative project for crafting and chatting fun!

RESCHEDULED TO FEBRUARY 2ND DUE TO WINTER STORM: Inprint—Houston’s leading literary arts nonprofit—invites adults age 60 and older to join an Inprint Senior Memoir Workshop at the Jacinto City Branch Library. This workshop will offer a friendly, welcoming space to put your life stories on the page. With engaging writing prompts, creative activities, and supportive group conversations, you’ll learn how to turn memories into meaningful stories.

Join us in conjunction with Writers in the Schools (WITS), for a poetry series like you've NEVER SEEN BEFORE! Our WITS instructor will take you on a journey through writing and mixed media art! This series will not only allow you to learn, write, and perform (if you'd like) your poetry for the community, but also to create your own 3D printed masterpiece over the course of 8 weeks! This program is completely FREE for teens aged 13-18 and can even lead to fellowship opportunities with WITS in the future! Sign up today and unleash your inner writer with us!

Join us at the Barbara Bush Branch Library for Baby Storytime with Ms. Amanda! We will read stories, have tummy time, and sing songs. Look forward to lots of wiggles, giggles, and play. Caregivers are encouraged to stay after to play and build community connections.
