Space Center Houston’s state-of-the-art portable planetarium is an exciting and dynamic tool for learning about astronomy and space exploration. Participants will be immersed in a digital recreation of the solar system! Shows last 15 to 30 minutes and will run all afternoon.

This session is for kids grades K through 6th.
A 30-45 minute music class that provides an introduction to rhythm, melody, and movement.
Classical Sing Move Play classes provide an introduction to melody, rhythm, instrument play time, and movement with music from famous operas and classical symphonies to folk songs.
The Music of Mexico class, led by opera singers Alisa and Alejandro Magallón, will explore some of the most well known tunes from traditional Mexican music and nursery songs.
Recommended for ages 2-5. Children of all ages are welcome.
Join us at the Baldwin Boettcher Library for a Hispanic Heritage Month decoration party! All ages are welcome to create decorations celebrating Hispanic and Latino cultures. Materials are provided, and no crafting experience is needed. Help us adorn the library with colorful displays!
Join us for our weekly homeschool meet up, where kids can engage in STEAM activities such as building challenges, fiber art crafts, science experiments, process art, games, and more, all while having fun and socializing. Parents/caregivers are welcome to join each other in the library for an informational session and networking.

This story time includes stories, songs, and activities. Children are invited to wear their pajamas and bring a favorite blanket or stuffed animal! Surprise! Each child may choose one free book at the end of the program!
Tickets are required for this program. They are free and available 30 minutes before the program begins in the Children’s Department. .
