What exactly is Social Work, and how can it work for you? Join us for an empowering afternoon dedicated to the East Aldine community. We’re bringing together experts from the University of Houston-Downtown, BakerRipley, Avenue, and our own High Meadows staff to bridge the gap between resources and residents. Whether you are looking for housing support, educational paths, or community advocacy, come learn how we are building a stronger future together. This presentation will be held in both English and Spanish.
Join us at the Katy Library for Flower Hour, a preschool story time, from 11:15 am-12 pm. This event will take place on the carpet in the children's section of the library. Come dance, sing, and grow while we read books together!

Join us for our weekly homeschool meet up, where kids can engage in STEAM activities such as building challenges, fiber art crafts, science experiments, process art, games, and more, all while having fun and socializing. Parents/caregivers are welcome to join each other in the library for an informational session and networking.
*Recommended for children ages 5-11, under 5 must have an accompanying adult.
Join us for an afternoon of crafts, STEM activities, movies, and more. Kid's Corner is a creative space for elementary-aged students to hang out, learn something new, and have fun.

Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize.
Siblings are always welcome.
We meet in the children's area where the picture books and campfire rug are located.

An exciting 30-45 minute music class that provides an introduction to rhythm, melody, and movement, inspired by opera.
Bring seeds, plant cuttings, and potted plants to swap with other plant lovers! Restock and curate our community seed library.
Stay and talk with new friends about gardening and nature. Tea and cookies will be provided for your chat!

Bring seeds from your garden or store seed packets to the Plant Swap to add to our new Seed Library. The Seed Library will offer free seeds for the community. Share your gardening knowledge!
