Step into the Literacy League, where stories come to life!
Our Chapter Champions (teens) are ready to guide your Story Seekers (children; grades K-3rd) through the wonders of the written word in stories, information, and books.
The Literacy League is a literacy program to provide teen mentorship and guidance to K-3rd graders pursuant to establishing and promoting a culture of literacy and books at the library and beyond into their home Reading Refuge.
"Baby Day is Texas’ only statewide celebration dedicated to the first three years of life! This special event highlights the importance of nurturing, consistent interactions between young children and caring adults—foundational early relationships that support lifelong social, emotional, and physical development. Baby Day offers a variety of fun activities, engaging sessions, and valuable local resources designed specifically for families with infants and toddlers.
Come join the North Houston Space Society (NSS) for their monthly meeting and learn about the latest happenings in space exploration, as well as what is just around the corner. This program is for anyone interested in getting together to learn and discuss space exploration.

Community Health & Wellness Services provided by Harris County Public Health at the Fairbanks Branch Library. Come visit the Mobile Dental Clinic for:
First visits include a dental screening.
Follow-up visits may include a dental cleaning or basic treatment.

Walk-ins are Welcome
This service is available from 8 am -3 pm each Monday with a lunch from 12-1.

Little Sprouts Baby Story Time is a ticketed story time that is every Tuesday at 11 am at the Katy Library. Please make sure to arrive early to receive a ticket. This event is for non-walking babies only. We ask that older children are left out for safety.
*Programs and services are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliant. Special accommodations can be requested in advance by contacting the library.

Join us for our weekly homeschool meet up, where kids can engage in STEAM activities such as building challenges, fiber art crafts, science experiments, process art, games, and more, all while having fun and socializing. Parents/caregivers are welcome to join each other in the library for an informational session and networking.
