Kids will learn and create something brand new each day of the week and get a free field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston on Friday!
Space is limited. Registration for this program is first-come first-serve, but there will be a waitlist.
The program is open to children ages 7 to 12 years old. Parents must register their child in-person at the Aldine Branch Library (11331 Airline Dr., Houston, TX 77037)

Step into the prehistoric world with Dino Academy! Led by the quirky and curious Dr. Sarah Tops, this action-packed adventure uncovers fascinating dino facts that will wow even the biggest dino fans. Featuring life-like, colorful dinosaur puppets that stomp, roar, and charm their way into every heart. This show blends science, storytelling, and imagination in the style of your favorite nature programs. It's an unforgettable field trip through time - without ever leaving your seat! Join us for an out-of-this-world visit from Orbit, the Houston Astros’ mascot! Orbit will be swinging by Bear Creek to share his love of reading and libraries during this fun program for children.
This program will be held in the children's area of the library. No ticket required, but due to limited space, seating is on a first come, first served basis!

DaCamera of Houston presents storytelling through music. Enjoy a musical retelling of Stellaluna by Janell Cannon brought to life by a flutist and violinist. Afterwards, participants will sequence illustrated scenes from the story and complete a simple writing activity.
Recommended for K-2nd grade.

Do you like snakes and lizards? Come meet some live reptiles up close and learn about their unique features. You will even have a chance to touch them if you want to!
