Being Creative and crafty can be very therapeutic, and with all the stress in the world these days, we can use all the crafting therapy we can get!

Spin-a-Yarn is a crafting group that meets every Wednesday at 11 am in the study room of the Baldwin Boettcher Library. If you like to craft or create in any way, come join us with your own creative project for crafting and chatting fun!

Books & Banter is a monthly book club that usually meets at the end of each month to explore books that celebrate and honor the richness of different cultures, movements and milestones. From the inspiring stories of Black History Month and the trailblazing women we recognize during Woman’s History Month to Disability Pride Month and more. Our club delves into diverse perspectives and voices that have shaped the world we live in. With each book we aim to spark meaningful conversations, reflect on history and the joys and struggles of the human experience.

What you'll learn:

Join us for our free, in-person ESL (English as a Second Language) Class held every Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This class is designed for beginners and will focus on basic English language skills to help you communicate in everyday situations.

Registration is required. To sign up, please visit the front desk to fill out a paper application.

Think you’ve got sharp eyes? Put them to test in our Word Search Showdown! Race against the clock, find every hidden word, and compete for bragging rights and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. A weekly Computer Class for Adult Beginners to discover and improve their skills in this increasingly high-tech age. Every week we learn by doing Word, Excel, Email, PDF, Internet Safety, Google Searches, HCPL resources and more!  Must have a library card to attend.
