Join us on Fridays at 1PM to craft and chat. 

Everyone is welcome to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, sew, needlepoint, or embroider with us! Some members donate finished items to local charities.

We are happy to help old and new crafters with their projects, but this is NOT a formal class. Please bring your own supplies.

This in-person workshop will provide assistance in creating and or updating resumes along with help on your cover letters. Learn how to book time with the Kingwood Library’s Cricut! This orientation session will introduce participants to using the Cricut in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a Cricut at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut.

This event is open to those ages 13 and older. Teens ages 13-16 must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Registration is required.

ESL Classes (Various Levels)

All of HCPL English-learning classes are taught by trained volunteer tutors and are completely free to attend. Learning materials are provided.

Beginner ESL Classes for Adults who speak little or no English. You will practice speaking, reading, writing and listening.

Advanced ESL Classes & Conversation Club for Adults who want to reach fluency in English. Practice speaking, reading, writing and listening with native speakers in a nonjudgmental environment.

Nurture your strength and mental health with Tai Chi at Parker Williams Library!

Often described as 'meditation in motion', Tai Chi is a low-impact, slow-motion exercise that helps to strengthen your muscles and relax your mind.

Join us for a free class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. You must complete an English placement assessment to join the class. Taking this class will not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.
