This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the 3D printer.

This class is appropriate for ages 8 and up.Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. (Please register separately for yourself and each child)

The library is bringing the wonders of the Houston Museum of Natural Science to you for one day only! Join us for special presentations by professional museum staff as they compare two prehistoric apex predators from the land and the sea!

Attendees will learn more about these ancient creatures with educational presentations and hands-on opportunities with museum materials.

Starting at 12:00pm, museum staff will give 30 minute classes throughout the day until 4:00pm. Presentations will be in the 1st floor Meeting Room.

A.M.I.G.O.S. (Amigos Meeting Intended Goals of South Houston) Friends of the South Houston Library is a nonprofit 501 c3 volunteer group that meets once a month. Books are selected during our annual book club poll, each fall. Registered participants will receive a link to nominate their picks, and to vote on the final selections. Printed book lists & monthly discussion guides are available at meetings, and at the front desk. Participants can place their own hold requests for copies of the books, or ask for their books to be requested in advance, during the annual survey.

This program is free to attend and all supplies are provided. Basic crochet knowledge is required. Ages 18 and up are welcome, but registration is required. Please register at the circulation desk, online, or call 281-471-4022.
