Visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science’s Discovery Dome at North Channel Branch Libary! Step into the Cretaceous Period and experience the extinction event that caused the death of the dinosaurs. Sessions will begin every 30 minutes.

Do you have a summer jam-packed with fun trips? Looking for a way to enhance your suitcase? Join us in the Innovation Lab to design your very own dinosaur luggage tag using templates made on our laser cutter. This program is for adults and teens 16+

Come out to celebrate the classic Tall Tale of Paul Bunyan and his blue ox, Babe. We will read a story, color pictures, create luxurious beards and even throw mock axes to really get in to the woodsman spirit! 

This program is for children ages 5-7 and their parent/caregiver.  Registration is required and begins one week in advance. Only the child needs to register.

Discover how music can tell a story during this interactive program inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Participants will listen for the musical “caterpillar motif” and move along with the performance before taking part in the “Butterfly Ballet,” using sound and movement to explore each stage of the butterfly life cycle. Recommended for K-1st grade.
