Summer Reading Program
Come unwind, explore your artistic side, and make something beautiful. We’d love to paint with you in our monthly painting class! No experience required for this simple yet fun class. All materials provided.
In this class you will learn how to use the Cricut Design Space software to create designs when using a Cricut machine. This class is perfect for anyone that has recently bought a Cricut and never used the software before or is thinking about buying a Cricut.
This class has a part 1 and part 2.
Craft Program for Kids
Get creative with Ms. Krystle in this hands-on dinosaur-themed craft program. Children will explore art, design, and imagination while creating fun prehistoric projects.
Activities are designed to support creativity and self-expression.
Use paper, ribbon, magnets, beads, buttons, and more to create a wall mounted magnetic message board.

Imagination and problem-solving with Legos! In “The Building Blocks of STEM” teens will use Lego bricks to complete interactive challenges. Participants will have fun while developing creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Presented by Young Audiences & iAct Houston.
Open to ages 11-18 only.
Tickets will be required and available for free at the front desk 15 minutes before event start time.
Whether you've never touched a tile in your life or you've played all kinds of versions, come play American Mah-jongg with us! There will be a table for complete beginners and there will be a table for open play. If you already have a set and you just want to play with people, there will be open tables to play on. All supplies and snacks will be provided. This program is intended for adults 18+.
Join us for an out-of-this-world visit from Orbit, the Houston Astros’ mascot! Orbit will be swinging by Bear Creek to share his love of reading and libraries during this fun program for children.
This program will be held in the children's area of the library. No ticket required, but due to limited space, seating is on a first come, first served basis!

DaCamera of Houston presents storytelling through music. Enjoy a musical retelling of Stellaluna by Janell Cannon brought to life by a flutist and violinist. Afterwards, participants will sequence illustrated scenes from the story and complete a simple writing activity.
Recommended for K-2nd grade.
RexFlix is your weekly Tuesday night destination for all things dinosaur — kick back for a dino-themed movie and take on your friends in a battle of board games. It's the most prehistoric fun you'll have all week.
This program is open to tweens and teens aged 11 to 18. Registration is not required, but space may be limited.
