This orientation session will introduce participants to the Digital Media Lab (DML) and its policies and procedures. Attending a DML orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Digital Media Lab.

Learn how to book time with the Kingwood Library’s Mayku Vacuum Former. This orientation session will introduce participants to vacuum forming services in the library, and the basics on how to create your own uniquely-shaped plastic molds. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a vacuum former at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a vacuum former.
This orientation session will introduce participants to desktop CNC milling in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use a desktop CNC mill.
This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. This event is open to those ages 13 and older. Registration is required.
This orientation session will introduce participants to laser cutter services within the Harris County Public Library system. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule a time to use a laser cutter at HCPL maker locations. This class is appropriate for patrons ages 12 and up. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

This orientation session will introduce participants to vinyl cutting, Cricut operation, heat pressing, sublimation printing and related software in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use a vinyl cutter, Cricut machine, sublimation printer, or a heat press.

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library.
