Participants volunteer to lead discussions and they pick the material. Normally they will propose a title and everyone agrees. This is a laid back but serious group.  They meet in person, February - November.

Books Discussion starts at 6 PM, usually the first Monday of the month In Person or Online using Teams.

Recommended for children 3 to 5 years old. This program is designed for children who are ready to sit and listen to stories in addition to enjoying songs, fingerplays, and action rhymes.

Tickets are required for all programs, unless otherwise noted. They are free and available at 10:00 am when the library opens at the Children's Reference Desk. Tickets are limited and offered on a first come first served basis. Lines for the tickets sometimes form before the tickets are distributed. Tickets can run out very quickly so please plan accordingly.

Adults deserve to play too! On the first Saturday of the month, join us all day in the second floor Conference Room for creativity and construction.

Any attendant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.


There will be no Adult LEGO Saturdays during the holiday weekends of:

April 4, 2026 (Easter weekend)July 4, 2026September 5, 2026 (Labor Day weekend)

This orientation session will introduce participants to the Digital Media Lab (DML) and its policies and procedures. Attending a DML orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Digital Media Lab.

Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.Registration is required.

This event will take place in the 2nd Floor Computer Lab

Harris County Universal Services' mission is to empower residents with the skills and confidence they need to use technology safely and effectively.

The team offers beginner friendly computer lessons designed for older adults, those new to computers, and those who would just like a refresher and would like to brush up on their computer knowledge.

This six week workshop will cover computer basics in the following modules:

Join us for introductory Yoga series where we will explore the many physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga. Participants will practice gentle movement and simple meditation techniques aimed at increasing physical ease and mental clarity. The program will be adapted to the ability levels of those who register, and no prior yoga experience is required.
