Join STAR Net to learn about NASA's Artemis 2 mission and all that transpired on our first journey around the moon in over 50 years, and look ahead to the future of the Artemis program. Paul Byrne is a Planetary Scientist who worked on NASA's MESSENGER mission, the first to orbit the planet Mercury. His research focuses on comparing and contrasting the surfaces and interiors of planetary bodies, including Earth, to understand why planets look the way they do.

This will be a live, interactive, video presentation shown at the Evelyn Meador Library.

Join our Tween Book Club here at the Barbara Bush Branch Library! We will discuss a new book every month paired with a fun activity.

The book for June will be The Firefly Summer by Morgan Matson.

Popcorn is, of course, provided! You may bring you own snacks too.

Do you like candles? Would you like to learn how to make your own candles?

We will be making mini candles. All materials will be provided. Take your own mini candle home!
Note: We will use beeswax pellets, peppermint essential oil or orange essential oil.

We are so pleased and excited to be hosting The Amazing Boujee Baker: Ms. Laquana again this summer!

If you are looking for a fun and exciting activity for your tween or teen to do this summer, look no further!

Ms. Laquana will be demonstrating and teaching tweens and teens in grades 6-12 how to decorate small cakes. Each tween/teen will take their decorated cake home!~~~~

Do you like graphic novels? Would you like to start reading and don't know where to begin?

Join our Graphic Novel Tween Book Club at the Fairbanks Library. We are located at 7122 Gessner Rd, Houston, TX, 77040.

Pick up a graphic novel at the front desk! We will be reading Four Eyes by Rex Ogle, a funny and feel-good memoir of his sixth grade year. Read about Rex’s journey to fitting in, facing bullies, and suddenly finding out he needs to wear glasses!

Our first meeting will be on Monday, June 1.
