Come join Baldwin Boettcher’s Tween Book Club! Each month, we dive into a new book, share our thoughts with new friends, and wrap it up with fun, hands-on activities. For our June meeting, we’re reading Another Kind by by Trevor Bream and Cait May.
Tweens
In this hands-on 5-week drumming workshop presented by DACAMERA's Young Artists, students entering grades 4-12 will explore percussion techniques, learn about global music traditions, and discover the power of rhythm for creativity, self-expression, and teamwork. No prior musical experience required, just bring your energy and curiosity!
*For children entering grades 4th thru 12th, Registration required.
Take inspiration from artists who play with the element of chance! Use dice and collage techniques to make a piece of art inspired by artists like Ellsworth Kelly and William Anastasi.
Teens and tweens ages 11 - 17 are invited to a social hour with games, crafts, and fun! Registration is preferred but not required—feel free to drop in!

Stomp into summer with a dinosaur-themed celebration to kick off this year's Summer Reading Program! Enjoy prehistoric games, activities, and family-friendly fun for all ages. Families are invited to bring in shoeboxes to turn into a habitat for their adopted dinos!
Help support our community by bringing a donation item for our Care Corner drive and receive a special sticker prize as a thank-you. Join us for a roaring good time at the library!
Join us for an educational program that teaches children and families how to safely interact with animals, practice responsible pet care, and support animal welfare in the community. Hosted in partnership with the South Houston Animal Shelter, the program teaches safety and awareness through fun and informative activities.
