Join us for a Dia de los Muertos Party 3:30-5:30pm! We will have delicious treats, horchata, crafts like Calaveras (sugar skull masks) and papel picado (decorative tissue paper cutouts), and we'll watch Disney's Encanto!
Join our Teen "Bring Your Own Book" Book Club for a chill hangout where you can talk about whatever you're reading and get new book recommendations from friends! This month’s optional theme is Halloween—bring a spooky, eerie, or supernatural read to get into the spirit of the season. Snacks are provided and good vibes are guaranteed!
Make your own buttons at our infamous Teen Button Bash! Teens will be able to choose from a variety of fun pre-made designs, make their buttons, and take them home. All supplies will be provided.

Ready to make your next move? Join our Chess Club at the library! Young teens are invited to sharpen their strategy, learn new skills, and challenge friends in a fun, welcoming environment. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, there's a seat at the board for you.

Hey Family Movie Night Friends! This month's movie, The Pagemaster (1994), takes us to a magical library where the books come to life to tell their stories! In honor of the Gulf Coast Reads Annual Reading Initiative book, the Librarians by Sherry Thomas.
Movie synopsis: A cowardly boy, Richard Tyler (Macaulay Culkin), enters a library to escape a storm, only to be transformed into an animated illustration by the Pagemaster. He has to work through obstacles from classic books to return to real-life.
A virtual tour around the world! Join us every second Tuesday of the month as we learn about the cultural practices, celebrations, food, animals, language, and geography of specific countries through discussion and hands-on activities. In October, prepare for a special tour, as we travel around Haunted America, explore the spookiest sites and celebrate with some crafts!
This program is for children ages 7-12. Registration is required and begins one week in advance.
Tweens will spend one hour each week for four weeks exploring the world of sewing through a variety of fun, hands-on projects. They’ll learn different stitches and patterns while building their skills, confidence, and creative freedom.
