Teens

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services within the Harris County Public Library system. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule a time to use a 3D printer at HCPL locations, during which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Attendees will receive 3D Printer and Lulzbot Mini 2 (machine) badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.

Join us for awesome, themed breakout rooms --if you dare! Use your wits to solve the puzzles and escape the room! Puzzles are designed for ages 12 and up.

Growing up is weird — Teening 101 is here to help. Join us for a lighthearted summer series where teens can learn real-world basics like career exploration, budgeting, interviewing, and other life skills without the boring lecture vibe. Fun, practical, and low-pressure.

Need a break from the chaos? Drop into Low-Key Craft Club — a relaxed space for teens to hang out, get creative, and work on easy, stress-free crafts. No experience, no pressure, just good vibes and something cool to take home.

Switch 2 Play is a weekly Thursday event at 4:00 PM in the library, where people of all ages can relax and connect through popular games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart World, Just Dance, Street Fighter VI, and more! All necessary equipment—including the console, controllers, and seating—is provided for a fun and easygoing gaming experience, though feel free to bring your own controllers if you prefer!
Whether you're here to unwind, improve your skills, or make friends, Switch 2 Play offers a welcoming space to play and have fun.

Take a break from the stress and recharge at Chill Vibes Only — a laid-back series focused on relaxation, self-care, and easy mental wellness activities for teens. From calming crafts to de-stressing techniques, it’s all about slowing down and taking care of yourself.
