Are you in the 7th–12th grade and interested in volunteer opportunities? 

Sign up to be a Big Buddy for Aldine Branch Library! HCPL's Book Buddies program pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in grades K-3rd (Little Buddies) for 10 weeks of shared reading.

This session will run from February 17- April 28 (break for 3/17). You will meet on Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m.-5:15 pm to read with your Little Buddy.

Join our Tween Book Club here at the Barbara Bush Branch Library! We will discuss a new book every month paired with a fun activity.

The book for March will be The Storm Keeper's Island by Catherine Doyle.

Popcorn is, of course, provided! You may bring you own snacks too.

The AARP Tax Volunteers return to the Atascocita Library this year on Mondays from 9 AM - 1 PM beginning February 2nd through April 13th to assist people with their taxes. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides tax assistance to anyone, free of charge, with a focus on taxpayers who are over 50 and have low to moderate income. You don't need to be an AARP member to use the service.
