Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize. 

Siblings are always welcome. 

We meet in the children's area where the picture books and campfire rug are located. 

No registration or tickets required.

Community Health & Wellness Services provided by Harris County Public Health at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  Come visit the Mobile Dental Clinic for:
First visits include a dental screening.
Follow-up visits may include a dental cleaning or basic treatment.

Adults and Children are welcome

Walk-ins are Welcome

This service is available from 8 am -3 pm each Monday with a lunch from 12-1.

This class is designed for students who are interested in learning and /or practicing speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills in English. Classes are free and all materials are provided.Registration required at the front desk of the library.

Join us on Fridays at 1PM to craft and chat. 

Everyone is welcome to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, sew, needlepoint, or embroider with us! Some members donate finished items to local charities.

We are happy to help old and new crafters with their projects, but this is NOT a formal class. Please bring your own supplies.

Join us at the Barbara Bush Branch Library for Baby Storytime with Ms. Amanda! We will read stories, have tummy time, and sing songs. Look forward to lots of wiggles, giggles, and play. Caregivers are encouraged to stay after to play and build community connections.

Join our Teen "Bring Your Own Book" Book Club for a chill hangout where you can talk about whatever you're reading and get new book recommendations from friends! This month’s optional theme is Halloween—bring a spooky, eerie, or supernatural read to get into the spirit of the season. Snacks are provided and good vibes are guaranteed!

Recommended for children 3 to 5 years old. This program is designed for children who are ready to sit and listen to stories in addition to enjoying songs, fingerplays, and action rhymes.

Tickets are required for all programs, unless otherwise noted. They are free and available at 10:00 am when the library opens at the Children's Reference Desk. Tickets are limited and offered on a first come first served basis. Lines for the tickets sometimes form before the tickets are distributed. Tickets can run out very quickly so please plan accordingly.

Looking for a creative way to unwind? Join us for a relaxing afternoon of watercoloring sand dollars!

Whether you're an experienced artist or a beginner, this is the perfect chance to tap into your creativity, make some new friends, and bring home your very own masterpiece!

Supplies generously furnished by the Friends of the Library Kingwood (FOLK).

Registration and attendance for patrons ages 18+ only.

Due to demand, if you have not arrived by 5 minutes after the start of the program, your spot will be released.

Join us for an interactive early literacy experience for infants and their caregivers. This program is geared toward babies newborn-18 months and features a 20-minute guided story time with songs, a book, and a new baby sign each week, followed by 25 minutes of free play and opportunity for community building between caregivers. 

This program is a wonderful way to encourage your child’s language development, early literacy, and connect with other parents!
