This orientation session will introduce participants to laser cutter services within the Harris County Public Library system. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule a time to use a laser cutter at HCPL maker locations. This class is appropriate for patrons ages 12 and up. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

This orientation session will introduce participants to laser cutter services within the Harris County Public Library system. There will be a brief lesson for beginners at the beginning of the session. Each class go over the following:
**Ages 9-17 ONLY & FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE**
A bashful dinosaur enlists her friends and the audience to help her overcome her shyness and find her voice. The audience learns the importance of courage, confidence, and overcoming personal obstacles from within—with a little help from friends.
*Best suited for PreK–5th grade, but designed to be fun and engaging for all ages, including younger children and adults.
Recommended for children 5-12 years old. Choose from a variety of vinyl designs to decorate and heat-press your very own summer t-shirt!
Bring your own plain shirt or use a white shirt provided at the event.

Wish You Were Here – Footprints Through Time
When you discover a mysterious suitcase filled with expedition tools, you’ll use your imagination and senses to search for dinosaur fossils! Journey through the jungle, dig for bones at an excavation site, rescue dinosaurs from tar pits, and collect dino eggs—just be careful of the earth-shaking volcano!

Get Creative with Cricut! This orientation session will introduce participants to Cricut machine capabilities, operation, and use. Completion of this orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Cricut at Harris County Public Library.
